Call nowWe bulk bill all Medicare and gold DVA cardholders therefore the home visit will not cost you anything. If a patient does not hold one of those cards you can still book a home visit and pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Our call center will take this payment and email or post a receipt to you for claiming purposes. For students who have overseas health cover we will provide a receipt for you after you pay to get a refund through the health insurance.
Our typical response time is 45-90 minutes from your call depending on your location within our coverage area. During peak periods such as public holidays or weekends, response times may be slightly longer. Our call center will provide an estimated arrival time when you book.
For life-threatening emergencies, please call 000 immediately. 13CURE is a non-emergency medical deputising service. If the situation requires urgent hospital care, our doctor will advise and coordinate transport. We are not a substitute for emergency services when there is immediate danger to life.
If the patient's condition worsens while waiting for our doctor, call our call center immediately on 1800 914 603. If the condition becomes life-threatening, call 000 without delay. Our call center staff are trained to triage and will escalate appropriately.
According to instructions from the Dept. of Health, we cannot accept bookings before 6pm on weekdays. Our call center opens at 6pm Monday to Friday, 12pm Saturday, and operates 24 hours on Sundays and public holidays. Please refer to our booking hours section for full details.
Absolutely. 13CURE complies with Australian privacy legislation including the Privacy Act 1988. All patient records are stored securely with encryption, and our doctors adhere to strict confidentiality standards. We only share information with your nominated healthcare providers with your explicit consent.
Yes, our doctors can provide referrals to specialists, for pathology, and for medical imaging when clinically indicated. Referrals are issued electronically where possible and can also be provided in written form. Our doctors will recommend the most appropriate specialist based on your condition.
